Digital Scrapbooking or pdf Printable Kit?

Those of you who have been following my blog for a while or been to visit my stores will know that my scrapbooking kits are available in 2 formats:
  • Digital Scrapbooking Kits
  • pdf Printable Kits
Here are 2 examples from my Icy collection.

So what is the difference between the 2 types of kit? Which one is best for you?

pdf Printable Kits
The pdf Printable kits are designed especially for paper crafting.
This style of kit is perfect for paper scrapbookers, card makers and other paper crafters.
All the papers and elements are in pdf files and setout ready to print.
Here is the element sheet and one of the papers from the Kissing Butterflies pdf Kit. I printed these out to make a Mother's Day Card.

All the elements have been designed and sized to be cutout easily.
You do not need a graphics package to use pdf Printable kits, all you need is a computer and a printer.
All Toucan Scraps pdf Printable Products are provided in 2 sizes - American Letter (8.5x11) and International A4.
The files cannot be resized or recoloured or used for digital scrapbooking.

Digital Scrapbooking Kits
The digital scrapbooking kits have been designed especially for digital scrapbooking and hybrid crafting.
All the papers are in jpg format and the elements are in png format.
All the files can be digitally recoloured and resized.
You need a graphics, photo editing or scrapbooking software package to use a digital scrapbooking kit.
Digital scrapbooking kits are perfect for digital scrapbooking and hybrid projects.
For paper crafting you will need to layout the files on a page yourself to print them out. Not all the elements are suitable for cutting out by hand with a pair of sissors.

ALL Toucan Scraps products are designed at 300dpi for high quality printing.
